Great TEDtalk by professor Caroline Heldman on sexual objectification, self-objectification and the object-subject dichotomy - "subjects act whereas objects are acted upon".





If carsickness allows I will be reading The Beast of Beauty Culture: An Analysis of the Political Effects of Self-Objectification by Heldman & Cahill on my way home. Now you might be thinking I'm either a pretentious douche or a nerdy no-lifer, but I realized something a few weeks ago. Information is power *newsflash*. Which means that the only way to win an argument is to actually know what you are talking about...
