My last hours as a 25 year old

With the wisdom acquired after yet another year, a survived quarter-of-a-century-crisis, and an ass bigger than ever, in a few hours I will enter the 26th year of my life. Meanwhile, I pass these last few hours as a 25 year old coveting the gifts 'under' our Christmas tree (back of the pic) while accompanied by a ridiculously symbolic dinner (I'll let you figure this one out by yourselves, but think in terms of bad choices, fatty choices, healthy choices... and amazing old and new guiding lights sharing their love and wisdom with me). What a year!


Con la sabiduria adquirida tras un año mas de vida, una crisis-de-cuarto-de-siglo sobrevivida, y un culo mas grande que nunca, en unas horas me adentrare en el año numero 26 de mi vida. Mientras tanto, paso mis ultimas horas como 25añera codiciando los regalos 'debajo' del arbol de Navidad (al fondo de la foto) acompañada de una cena ridiculamente simbolica (os dejo descifrarlo a vosotros mismos pero... elecciones malas, elecciones fatty, elecciones saludables, y siempre rodeada de nuevas y viejas luces compartiendo su cariño y sabiduria conmigo). Vaya añito!

Hong Kong Treats: The happiest news of my life

I've always believed there was something magical over chocolate milk(shakes) - a miraculous cure for various evils such as crazysugarcravings, hangovers, early mornings, PMS, and lonely nights in front of the computer/tv. Even my friend Courtney told me once that chocolate milk was really good after a good old work out. Obviously this sounded too good to be true, but deep down inside I knew he was on to something. Imagine my surprise when I, about to purchase my first Hongkonese treat, found this on the back of the package. I guess Courtney was right then. Hallelujah!!

Siempre he creido en la magia de los batidos de chocolate - una cura milagrosa para males varios como por ejemplo diasdehambreinsaciable, resacas, madrugones, sindrome premenstrual, y noches solitarias en frente de la tele/ordenador. Incluso mi amigo Courtney una vez me dijo que era muy bueno tomarse batidos de chocoloate despues de hacer ejercicio. Obviamente eso sonaba demasiado bien para ser verdad. Aun asi yo queria confiar en su sabiduria. Y asi es como el otro dia en el super, a punto de comprar mi primer deleite hongkones, encontre esta informacion vital en el paquete. Parece ser que Courtney tenia razon. Aleluya!

Umbrella Revolution: Last night in Admiralty

On Wednesday evening, the night before the announced police clearance of the Admiralty Umbrella Revolution camp zone, my new buddy Jan took me to Admiralty to show me the real Umbrella Revolution. These are pictures of what I saw that night; a truly amazing movement which bravely stands up for universal suffrage, one of the most basic rights in a real democracy.

El miercoles por la noche, la noche antes de la anunciada limpieza policial del campamento mas importante de la Umbrella Revolution en la zona de Admiralty, mi nueva amiga Jan me llevo a Admiralty a enseñarme la verdadera cara de este movimiento. Las siguientes fotos documentan (malamente) la genialidad de un movimiento democratico, pacifico, y valiente que tan solo pide el sufragio universal para la populacion de Hong Kong; un derecho basico en cualquier democracia real.
