When a random semi drunk bule guy at a bar where you just finished hosting an event for work and it's late, you are hungry, sleepy and really just over your cigar life, tells you to smile when you pass by him:
Cuando pasas por delante de un total desconocido medio borracho en un bar donde tu acabas de tener un evento de trabajo y es tarde, tienes hambre, estas cansada, y en general muy harta de tu vida, y te dice que sonrias:
And even though I am very happy that this total stranger was finding his Thursday night drinking all by himself so enjoyable - it always is... I do not exist in order to please him and readily express my feelings in a way and a time of his liking. Which is why I just really do not understand why I should have to listen to that kind of comments. And I really don't understand what in the world would make him think he has the right to say that to me - or any other stranger. Still, I can't help but wonder (hello Carrie) whether he would ever address another man that way... Too bad I am the worst at coming up with good come backs on the spot.
Y aunque me alegro de que el se lo estuviera pasando tan bien de borrachera un jueves por la noche completamente solo, yo no existo para agradarle, ni para sonreir a una hora de su agrado. Por lo que realmente no entiendo porque tengo que escuchar ese tipo de comentarios. Y lo que de verdad no entiendo es que le hace pensar que tiene el derecho de decir algo asi, a mi o a culquier otra persona. Y por desgracia, lo primero que se me ocurre pensar es que probablemente nunca se le ocurriria hablar a otro hombre de esa manera... Que pena no haberle comentado esto mismo en ese momento, en vez de pirarme de alli de mala leche.
